The Music World Loses Another Legend

Dimebag Darrell, Former Pantera and current Damageplan guitarist was shot and killed on the evening of 12/8/2004 during the opening song of a "Damageplan" performance in Columbus Ohio. The band took the stage and began playing when a gunman jumped on stage and open fired killing and injuring several patrons as well as shooting Dimebag Darrell several times at close range. The gunman was shot and killed by the first officer that arrived on the scene.

Dimebag Darrell was, and still is one of the most influential guitarists in modern metal. Voted "Guitar" magazines "Guitarist of the Year" 3 years in a row for his work on the "Pantera" albums, "Far Beyond Driven", "The Great Southern Trendkill" and "Reinventing the Steel", Dime carved his legacy in the wall of the music world. After the breakup of Pantera, Dimebag and his brother Vinnie Paul (Drums) decided their time for creating incredible hard hitting music wasn't over and founded "Damageplan" with singer Pat Lachman and Bassist Bob Kakaha (aka Bobzilla) they began to show that they had much more to offer the world of music. Darrell's guitar skills have inspired literally thousands of young aspiring guitar players and will continue doing so for many years to come.

Darrell, We Will Miss You!!!!

S-7 was formed in the Spring of 2002 in Wallingford CT.
Erik Gallup and Steve Rose had been friends for quite a few years in several different Bands but never in the same band together. Both decided they had spent to much time sitting on the sidelines watching other bands have all the fun performing. They both had the itch to get back out there and perform.

Along with Row Clawson on Bass and Phil Adams on Drums, they put together an exciting array of music. Both Cover Songs and Original music along with a stage show that had more energy than an Alcohol Fueled Dragster. S-7 Began to make their mark on CT.

S-7 began tearing up clubs and bars all over Connecticut. It became quite clear that an S-7 show was a hard act to follow. Opening for National acts Such as “L.A. Guns”, “Shinedown”, “Brett Michaels”, “Warrant” and “Believer”, the S-7 band was gaining the respect of crowds and bands all over the region.

From the first time S-7 jammed together, the chemistry was AMAZING!!!!!!! They began writing some of the most powerful original music they’ve ever produced and have earned the title of “One of Connecticut’s Hardest Rock Bands”. S-7 is now on a path for more than they ever bargained for. All this is the result of 2 friends that just wanted to jam and entertain once more.

For those of you that haven’t witnessed S-7 live, you may be missing out on one of the best parties and experiences of modern music. Audience participation is a key element of a S-7 show. These guys give you their all every time they step foot on that stage.
So Be Prepared To Party Your Ass Off!!!!!!!!
